Art of Compassion Tour
Art of Compassion is a Tibetan arts and culture tour created by Lobsang Tsering Phartsang in the year of 2000 and has brought Tibetan monks from the Gyumed Monastery in Southern India to Russia and United States to show the essence of Tibetan culture. During the tours, Lobsang exhibited Tibetan Arts by creating sand Mandela paintings and butter sculptures, arranged Tibetan cultural performances, introduced Tibetan medicines, and gave lectures about meditation, peace, and the Art of Compassion presentation. He also facilited celebrities as guest speakers such as Richard Gere and Robert Thurman to Tibet Festival 2004 in Russia to be part of the program. Lastly, the monks chanting concert for the universal purification was the most popular and successful event in Russia.
While touring in two Mongolian Republics in Russia, Lobsang expended the donation locally and installed two prayer wheels at Elista in Kalmykia and Arata Square in Tuva. These prayer wheels are both installed in front of the white house and have become a landmark and popular tourist places, which have been greatly appreciated as a gift from Lobsang. Lobsang also created Prayers on the Hills projects on the Tuva mountains, and Compassion Buddha's prayer, Om Mani Peedme Hum mantra was created with rocks across at least 150 meters in length.
