Conscious Living

Menstrual Hygiene Project

Women and teenagers living in remote villages may suffer physically and psychologically during their menstrual cycles due to cultural taboos.

Many young girls miss school when they reach puberty, and most don't have access to clean sanitary materials, hygiene education, or even clean water to keep themselves safe from getting sick or contracting diseases.
In 2021, reusable hygiene pads were to be purchased from a non-profit that provides jobs for women in Nepal then distributed in India and Nepal.

Due to COVID-19, this planned trip was cancelled. Fortunately, Messengers of Hope was able to help distribute reusable menstrual products and support women in Guatemala with this project.
