After the 2010 Yushu Tibetan earthquake, TLC discovered that families stayed in fragile temporary shelters and raised funds to purchase safer tents from the Chinese military and provide earthquake relief.
TLC donated $30,000 USD to purchase 120 durable high-quality tents from the Chinese military. Small tents helped families survive through difficult winters and large tents supported the senior and mid-wife training centers.
